Community-based Initiatives
Ownership and direct involvement of local communities is the only feasible way to biodiversity conservation. This way communities will act as stewards in the long-term.
I am a firm believer of bottom-up approaches as drivers of change, ideally in a multi-stakeholder setting. Familiar with community forest restoration projects, multistakeholder process to improved governance, locally managed or co-managed protected areas, and wider community-based sustainable natural resource management.
